Dear Godbrothers and Godsisters,
Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada!
Many thanks to the creators of this excellent new website, adi-vani.org. I have read with great interest all of the articles and have found each one to be extremely well-articulated and intelligently conceived.
There is not much of value I can add to what has already been written here, so I will simply state that for me there is one argument that supercedes all others with regard to the changes made to Srila Prabhupada's books: His Divine Grace ordered us not to do it and to reprint the books in the original way.
The appropriate consciousness in this regard is that Srila Prabhupada is our Spiritual MASTER, we are his unworthy SERVANTS, and it is our duty, our very life and soul, to carry out these orders which have been so unequivocally expressed by His Divine Grace.
I find it heart-wrenchingly tragic that we have come to this point where we are forced to beg, flatter and cajole our own Godbrothers into not destroying this most sacred legacy of our beloved Spiritual Father - the divine vani he was sent here by Lord Krishna to deliver to all the poor suffering souls on this planet Earth. We simply have no right to tamper with Srila Prabhupada's books or to hoard them to ourselves, so how is it that some of our Godbrothers are now claiming this right?
This is the most unfortunate result of so many years of minimization and suppression of the truth of Srila Prabhupada's rightful status as Sampradaya Acharya by faithless fools who have been lending their ears to dubious others who claim to be equal or superior to Srila Prabhupada even though their spiritual credentials cannot come anywhere close to being in the same league as His Divine Grace. So this is what it has come to.
Therefore, I am begging Jayadvaita Maharaja, please don't turn a deaf ear to the countless cries of Srila Prabhupada's other children who understand the imperative of preserving his divine vani intact, as it is, per His Divine Grace's expressed orders. Please be compassionate and merciful, and don't extinguish the torchlight of knowledge that Srila Prabhupada struggled so mightily to bring to us across tortured seas.
Your servant and godsister,
Dinadayadri dasi
